This week’s top gainer is Fission Uranium Corp. (TSXV: FCU), which jumped 10%. The
uranium explorer recently announced summer assay results as well as the listing
of its common shares on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX).

Key Findings for the week:

• Fission Uranium Corp (TSXV: FCU) was the top performer for the week with a 9.64% gain in market capitalization. The market capitalization rose as the company recently made few announcements about its summer assay results from 29 holes drilled on the R780E zone at its Patterson Lake South (PLS) property in Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin, Canada. All 29 holes returned strong to moderate mineralization at shallow depth and listing of its common shares on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX).

• The UM 20 index declined 0.84% this week to end at 77.70. It underperformed the TSX Venture index (-0.58%) and S&P/TSX Global Mining Index (-0.50%).

• The TSX Venture index declined 0.58% last week to close at 805.45. The reason for decline was the global economic worries and the continued plunge in oil prices.
