Key Findings for the week:

• Guyana Goldfields Inc. (TSX: GUY) was the top gainer for the week with a 23% gain. The company’s market capitalization rose on the news (published June 27, 2014) of successful closing of private placement to raise $44.4 million and on recent positive development on its Aurora gold project, Guyana.
• The UG 20 index gained 6.27% to close at 116.11. It outperformed TSXV index (-1.43%), Gold (1.37%) and S&P/TSX global gold index (4.75%).
• The performance of the UG 20 constituent companies was mostly positive with 16 out of 20 companies recording positive performance while only three companies reported negative performance for the week.
