• Allana Potash Corp (TSX: AAA) was the top performer for the week with an 8.06% gain in market capitalization. The stock gained after AAA started Preliminary Economic Assesment (PEA) on its Kainitite resources located on its Danakhil project, in Ethiopia to examine viability of Sulphate of Potash production, which could command a premium price compared to its Muriate of Potash.
• The UM 20 index declined 2.30% this week to end at 94.32. It underperformed the TSX Venture index (-0.70%) and S&P/TSX Global Mining Index (-1.03%).
• The TSX Venture index ended slightly lower by 0.70% last week to close Friday at 987.93 primarily led by sell-off seen in the energy shares followed by the losses in oil prices and weak commodity prices.
