  • D-Box technology brings another dimension to the movie entertainment experience by adding motion experience to viewing. Ie., seats start vibrating and moving in different ways fully synchronized with the movie sequence.
  • The company has already established partnerships with leading movie studios like Walt Disney, Universal, Sony, Twentieth century, Lions Gate etc that are incorporating its technology. Basically these companies are releasing movie titles with D-Box motion code technology in theatres, Blue-ray discs or DVDs.
  • Technology is now commercially deployed and people are using it. 13 movie theatres in US & Canada have now this technology implemented. Ie special seating with this technology which movie theatres are selling at a premium. The premium is split between theatre, studio and D-Box. This gives D-Box a recurring revenue stream as more titles are available with this technology and it increases theatre penetration.
  • The addressable market is huge, split between commercial movie viewing market, home entertainment systems market and gaming market. The home entertainment market could be potentially attractive as the D-Box technology is already available with Blu-ray discs and it has signed partnership with home entertainment seat manufacturers.
  • Each of these three markets are expected to have robust growth projections
  • No major known competition that synchronizes motion with sound and image which is what the D-Box experience is.
  • To date over 50,000 moviegoers have experienced D-Box technology as per the company

Risks

High concentration of sales currently from a single customer, which could change over time as they sell to more customers. Company not profitable yet and may need additional financing as deploying this technology is capital intensive to deploy in theatres. D-Box pays for the capital cost currently to deploy in theatres and recoups from revenue generated by theatres by selling tickets for a premium.
