Encompass Pro Suite
Encompass is a sophisticated and flexible solution that can be configured to the user's needs, from standalone recording to multiple location recording and management. Its architecture provides full management of data in real time, complete database or content management functionality and web services integration.
It has a built in integration with case management systems, which is a critical feature for improving process and workflow in the court. Furthermore, Encompass can also be customized for integration with all following systems: database, multimedia, videoconference, interpretation, assisted speech, translation, electronic content management and document management systems. Redundancy is also a key feature. Encompass provides secure, synchronized digital audio and video capture, and can automate a real-time or on-demand synchronization process for copying audio, video and case information to a multi-tiered system with central servers for automatic security, redundancy and storage.
Encompass is designed intuitively for court reporting in order to streamline processes and optimize workflow including a fully automated mode, and hence, improves operational efficiency and cost savings to users. With this in mind, VQS recently released a new application, Remote Processor Control, which enables a single operator to service multiple remote courtrooms simultaneous. VQS also recently introduced a teleconferencing extension to Encompass. The two-way views, all-party audio/video capture, can generate significant cost savings since it enables remote appearances of criminals from the jail and witnesses or experts from wherever they are around the globe.
Designed to seamlessly integrate with Encompass, the following are supporting utilities that increase the functionality of the core recording product:
ICM Tool allows the transport of case information from the case management system into Encompass, avoiding the need of data re-entry before recording. The Interface to Cased Management Tool is compatible with leading case management systems.
AccessPOINT Portal provides secure, 24/7 access to case audio, video, annotations and transcript from any authorized computer with an Internet connection. Security features include assigning access to authorized users to listen to audio/video fragments on a case-by-case basis.
NetScribe transcription utility saves time and money and eliminates uncertainty in dealing with couriers. It allows secure distribution of digital audio and documents to transcriptionists over the Internet. The transcription process can begin while the audio is still being captured. Additionally, if turn-around time is critical, the audio can be broken into segments and parsed out to multiple authorized transcriptionists at the same time. The partial transcripts are then edited and assembled into the final transcript.
Player Utilities allows authorized users access to audio, video and annotations from any remote location.
Audio Importer allows the conversion of various file formats including MP3 files into a format that can be imported into the Encompass workflow.
