Business Overview
Donner Metals Ltd. is a Canada-based junior resource company engaged in the identification, acquisition, exploration and development of mineral resources with a focus on base metals. The Company's exploration projects focus primarily on exploration for zinc, copper and nickel deposits.
The Company’s primary focus is the Matagami Project at the Matagami Mining Camp in the Abitibi region of central Québec. The Matagami Mining Camp is a world-class mining district, with 18 known VMS (Volcanogenic massive sulfide ) deposits. Donner Metal’s Matagami Project has an area of mutual interest of 4,750 square kilometers and 3,340 mineral claims covering approximately 801 square kilometers. For the Matagami Project, the company has a joint venture with Xstrata Zinc Canada which was signed in 2006 and governs exploration and future development within this project.
Additional projects for the company include the project in the South Voisey Bay area of Labrador, Newfoundland. The South Voisey Bay Project is located in central Labrador, in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador and covers approximately 383 square kilometers, in which the Company has varying interests ranging from 52% to 77%.

What is interesting?
- The current focus of the company is the Metagami Project that is located in a well know mining camp and is home to 10 past and 1 current producer. Metagami is home to Xstrata Canada and is known for high grade ore.
- The company has a joint venture with Xstrata Canada to develop the Matagami Project and has already made 4 significant discoveries at this project.
- Donner Metal has advanced exploration projects, the most advanced being the Bracemac-McLeod deposit, which has a NI43-101 Indicated Resource of 3.62 million tonnes grading 11.52% zinc, 1.60% copper, 31.55g/t silver and 0.49g/t gold. This project is located 6 kilometres from the existing Xstrata mill complex. This deposit was discovered in 2007 and it is currently under an accelerated feasibility study being conducted by Xstrata Zinc.
- The Mining Journal awarded the Xstrata/Donner team with the Outstanding Achievement Exploration Award for the Bracemac-McLeod discoveries made in 2008 at the Matagami Mining Camp in Quebec. This provides validity to the significant exploration potential at this project.
- The Matagami Project has strong infrastructure and a working mill nearby.
- The company is pursuing an active drilling program with 8 active drills at various projects. The drilling program has the potential to further expand the resource estimate and provide stronger validity to the current resource estimates.
- Company’s projects are in Canada, a safe and stable mining jurisdiction with very low geo-political risks.
- The company recently raised approximately $5 million and is well capitalized to carry an aggressive drilling program. It has a strong and stable management team at the helm to execute on its exploration program.
Risks
Donner Metals Ltd. is an early stage exploration company. The commercialization risks associated with base metal exploration and development are high and its prospects for discovering economically viable resources are uncertain. Base metal prices can fluctuate and a decline in the base metal prices could impact the share price of the company adversely. Early stage exploration companies typically needs significant amount of capital and although currently well financed, Donner Metals may still require additional financing. This could result in shareholders’ dilution.
